The College of Nurses of Ontario protects the public through the promotion of safe nursing practices. This includes an ongoing project where CNO is modernizing our practice standards to support safe patient care.

Quality Assurance (QA) is an accountability that assures the public of nurses’ commitment to continuing competence by improving their nursing practice on an ongoing basis. Part of this program is QA Assessment, where the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) randomly selects nurses for further reflection or activities.

A new public report highlights and tracks CNO’s 2022 achievements and initiatives, including registering nurses in the health care system.
