As part of our ongoing efforts to modernize our applicant assessment processes, we are launching changes to our online portal to make it more efficient and improve the applicant’s experience when applying to CNO.

The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) protects the public through the promotion of safe nursing practice, including establishing province-wide registration requirements. Starting Monday, July 17, 2023, those applying for registration in the General or Extended class will have to pass a new Jurisprudence Exam.

As of March 17, 2023, CNO has registered over 1,500 nurses through the Supervised Practice Experience Partnership (SPEP).
