New Council members elected
In January and February, nurses voted in three districts to elect new members to Council, to protect the public by promoting safe nursing practice.
These elections occur annually in rotating districts throughout Ontario and help form Council, which is composed of 14 RNs and seven RPNs elected by their peers and 14 to 18 public members appointed by the government.
Here are the candidates elected to Council in 2024:

Rodolfo Lastimosa Jr., RPN, was elected in the Central/Toronto district

Jeffrey Ko and Alexis Lamsen, RNs, were elected in the Central Western district

Carly Gilchrist, RPN, was elected in the Central Western district

Jerry Ding and Jijo Matthew, RNs, were elected in the Southwestern district

Christopher Scott Mumberson, RPN, was elected in the Southwestern district
They will join Council as of Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Congratulations to all new members of Council.
CNO thanks the following members of Council for their commitment and contributions. With the exception of Ian McKinnon, all of these members will depart on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
