The holiday season is a time for giving and caring. Our holiday traditions might be different this year, but the spirit of the season is stronger than ever. We see it in the actions of our friends, our neighbours, our colleagues, our service providers and, most of all, our dedicated health care professionals.
As the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic carry on during the holidays, so do Ontario’s nurses. As always, you will be there to provide expert care to patients and support to families.
Nurses are well-known for their compassion and commitment to patient care and well-being. Throughout this difficult year, you have not only shown these qualities time and time again, but you have applied your knowledge, expertise and professional judgment in some incredibly complex care situations.
As the pandemic follows us into a new year, we know we can count on you to continue this difficult work. During the holiday season and always, we are grateful for all you do to ensure safe care for patients.
On behalf of everyone at CNO, I wish you warm, healthy and happy holidays.
Stay safe and thank you for caring.
